Changes are good!

Friday, July 8, 2011
I always take changes as new challenges. I am lunching my new blog and my new business name, Clareana Darosa Photography. Since I got married last October, I debated with myself about changing it to my new last name, and at the end I decided to start everything fresh. So here it is:
New name, new blog, new challenges, new beginnings! (New site coming soon :D )

Enjoy it and the picture below too, it is one of my favorites <3

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." Romans 8:28

Welcome Back + my love story

Tuesday, June 7, 2011
I know it's been forever since I last posted here, but what really matters is that I am back for good.
So many things happened since the last post, but definitely the most exciting one what that I GOT MARRIED <3
I married my best friend on October 16, 2010 on a beautiful sunny day in South Florida. The day was perfect, everything was a dream, from the moment we woke up to the end of our night, God gave us everything we asked for. It was the happiest day of our lives, and it will be engraved in our heart forever. On the next day we woke up super early and flew to California to spend there the next 2 weeks traveling from L.A. to San Francisco, traveling along the Pacific Intercoastal. Amazing memories that we will always carry with us, forever.

Here's a sneak peak of my wedding day pictures taken by our amazing photographers Angelo Fabricio Ramos and Keila June.
Enjoy! :)

I heart Film!

Tuesday, February 9, 2010
First I would like to apologize for yesterday I tried to post this, and for some odd reason, the blog wasn't letting anyone comment anywhere. What's the fun of a blog post without comments?! :)
Thankfully my friend Feuza Reis , came to the rescue with her good friend Tony, and he helped me fix the technical issues! Thanks guys!

Now to the post....

This blog post is so exciting for me, first because it is something that is totally new to me. And I love to try new things! Second, I never thought I would enjoy a college class as much I am enjoying my Film Class at school.

So, remember years ago, when our digital cameras, memory sticks, and mega pixels, didn't exist? Yes, I know, that was a while ago, but remember how you had to take rolls of film to your local Walgreens to have them develop? Well, I use the same roll of film, except its B&W, but I have to do all the developing work. Stay in the darkroom for hours, with enlargers, being super careful not to open the door and let light in there, smelling chemicals, doing 6 minute washes in the Fixer, and 15 minute final washer. It may sound like a lot of work, and I am not going to lie, it is, but that is what makes it so worth it. Its Art! It takes time, passion, and patience!

Here is a sneak peek of some of the shots I have developed so far.

Loved it? I sure do!
Now here is part of my equipment! Taken with my digital camera now!
I want to thank my friend and also client, Thaina Rosa, for lending me her film camera for this semester. Thank you so much girl, you helped me a lot!
And since I am falling in love with it, I will have to buy one very soon! :)

Phillip's 5th Birthday Party

Saturday, September 12, 2009
Hey Everyone.
I was introduced to a very sweet family, by my dear friend Anne ( which happens to be also my client), and asked to photograph Phillip's 5th Birthday.
I was a lot of fun, his favorite theme was all around the house, SPIDERMAN!
Here is a peek of some of the shots I captured.
I want to thank Anne for being so amazing, and always recommending my work. :) I love you girl!

Enjoy!
